Hi everybody 🙂I am a french student in sociology and history. This year, i'm working on american (, english and french) anti-communism in news paper. Im particulary interested in the way how anti-communism was aparent through humour and satir.So.. i'm looking for- names of famous anti-communist newspapers during the cold war- Books dealing with this subject- American news paper criticizing USSR government- drawings (or caricatures)about communism during the cold war (or before)Thank you! 😀Cl?lia

I am trying to think of any movies which were satires on communism, but cannot think of any. There is of course the famous anti-fascist one with Charlie Chaplin.Anyway, look below. More anti-communist propaganda here.

For publications, you may want to look to National Review, which began in 1955. Also, I found this on Wikipedia, which could help you start your research:
In 1953 Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower was president, and most Americans considered themselves conservative.[citation needed] Major magazines such as the Saturday Evening Post, The American Mercury and Reader's Digest were strongly conservative and anti-communist, as were many newspapers including the Chicago Tribune and St Louis Globe-Democrat. Conservative magazines, Human Events and The Freeman preceded National Review in developing Cold War Conservatism in the 1950s.[citation needed]
