KeymasterI'm not advocating what this list states, but wanted to bring it up for discussion (since some people will agree with some of the list). Which ones do you agree/disagree with?10 Signs That You’re Fully Awake

ParticipantThat list is 100% spot on.

Now I knew you bought into some of them (had you in mind when I posted the link) but I didn't think you bought into all of them.

ParticipantWhen you become fully awake you too shall be enlightened just as I am. LOL

KeymasterYes, please lead me out of the cave. I'm guessing Ron Paul is waiting for me on the outside. ;D

ParticipantThis reminds me of that David Carradine movie Circle of Iron. You can play the role of Cord the seeker of enlightenment while I play the role of spirit guide. Now where did I put my flute?

KeymasterI should have known that a classic reference to the cave from Plato's Republic would be mistaken for something from a David Carradine movie. 😀

ParticipantPlato was definitely not awake. He was the biggest dreamer of all with his stupid Philosopher King crapola. He wouldn't know how to wear a tin-foil hat if somebody gave him the directions. He would just ask an endless number of questions until he infuriated everyone. At least Aristotle had more on the ball than his teacher.

ParticipantThe list is missing mention of the “black helicopters.” 😛

I think the black helicopters are either police or private, but they are out there.

Whoa whoa whoa! You just threw one of the best allegories of realty of all time under the bus! If you didn't recognize the genius of Plato's approach (read: Socratic method) then you are missing out on one of the greats in the history of Western philosophy. Oh, and Plato is much more readable than Aristotle because of it, IMO. I see that you are still chained to the inside of the cave. ???

No Plato was a loser. Paul took his Theory of the Forms and turned it on its head in Corinthians. I wrote a paper on it in Seminary.

Wow. Don't you think your admiration for Ron Paul is a bit excessive?

To be honest I've kinda lost interest in Ron Paul. I mean I love the guy to death, but he has had his time in the limelight. I'm watching Rand Paul very closely right now. If he's not just an opportunist trying to make a name for himself, he might be a viable presidential candidate. But I won't derail this thread on that subject.
