I have a paper due Friday, and a ways to go before finishing it. It's been hard to concentrate on it. Hopefully, it will get done.Incidentally, I will need to come up with a dissertation topic soon, so this summer I will be doing research on it. It's kind of daunting to think of all the possibilities and needing to come up with one good one that I can chew on for several years.
I wish you luck. After completing my MA, I have pretty much decided I am out of the going to school business. I am going to go ahead and try my hand at entrepneurship instead. If I get bored, I may go ahead and use my GI Bill to get a PhD. If my wife doesnt kill me for even talking about going back to school. ;D I can only imagine how difficult coming up with a dissertation topic is. You are an architecture and art historian by specialty arent you?
Thank you. Yes, that is my area, and by period I study Italian Renaissance/Baroque. If you do get onto a successful entrepreneurial track in history, you'll have to let us know how it all works out. I have though of trying to get something going on the side (perhaps via a web site) that helps me earn money via my expertise. Basically, if people are interested in a person's research, there are ways to make money from it. ;D
