Saw this, which was kind of interesting:German youths make amends for HolocaustThese young Germans go to Israel to help out, basically doing community service.  I didn't know about it but thought it was interesting.  I feel that Germans may feel a collective sense of guilt even to this day.  They shouldn't, but it goes to show that one generation's faults can have repercussions on the next.
