I will try to start posting more soon. I originally planned to be off the net for a week during our planned trip to Malta. That did not quite work out the way we planned, we did not go to Malta. Instead we had a car wreck and my wife spent a week in the hospital with a broken vertebrae. She is back home now and resting as it heals. Luckily no one else was hurt, the car was totaled though. This is the second time we planned a trip to Malta and we ended up not going, I would say that Malta is out as a destination, we will have to go to Italy or Greece instead.
Wow, glad she's OK. Where you and your son in the car as well? Looks like a rollover.
A straight road, no tree along, but a ditch; drowsy driving ? You were all very lucky and blessed! I wish you all a quick recovery 🙂
Behind me in the picture is a curve, my wife, son, dog and I were in the car. We drifted off the right edge of the road and my wife, who was driving, overcorrected. we ended up in the left side ditch and rolled once before stopping. Luckily the dog and kid did not get a scratch. I put my right elbow through the passenger window and hit my right shoulder on something that caused a huge bruise. My wife broke her L2 vertebrae but amazingly was not further injured. The car is totalled but we had full coverage on the car and for the first time ever we brought trip insurance. We are indeed blessed that nothing more serious happened. As I told my wife, as long as we can heal from it, the material stuff does not matter.Ironically, the wreck happened less than 800m from my mother-in-law's house, which is where we were going to drop off the dog. Here is a better picture.
Wow, yes thankfully you are all fine.
Glad everyone is OK… you got that right… material things can be replaced…
