KeymasterI think that my favorite History Channel shows are specials that they present on various topics (i.e. the Crusades, aspects of World War II, the French Revolution, etc.). However, the channel also has a variety of regularly-aired shows that are quite good. What is your favorite?

KeymasterI put Digging for the Truth as my pick. I wish I had that guy's job who does the show. He basically investigates historical mysteries by visiting the places they actually occurred at and talking with professors, curators, or whomever else might be of help. Of course, his travels also take him on scuba dives, glider rides, rapelling activities, and perhaps other fun stuff. Doing that show would be a blast.

ParticipantI am not sure if this is on the history channel or not, it might be on discovery, But I like 'Unsolved history' They go back with forensic experts, historians and other kinds of experts to take on a historical mystery, such as the Boston massacre, O.K. corral, and Billy the kid and Pat Garretts fatal shot, among others.

Modern Marvels is a deceptively great show. I say "deceptively" because from the outset I would normally have no desire to sit through an hour or so worth of TV covering a topic as mundane as "rubber" or "sugar" or "plastic" or whatever topic they might cover. But once you start watching it's hard to pull yourself away. They make it that interesting. Is the PBS show you refer to where a group of history "detectives" tries to hunt down clues to determine something from the past? I think I saw an episode some time ago.

Yes, varies from the lady that had a cannon that she wanted traced; came from England and ended up being one that Gage was looking for at Lexington... to the debunking of a watch that was supposed to have belonged to Doc Holiday. Pretty neat!I agree on your spin on MM... way too interesting to step away from 😮cheers,Wally

I watched some of those in the past, but the ones I saw tried so hard to discredit the bible I quit watching. In one, they tried to make John out to be a mad man when he wrote Revelations.

No surprise there. Does not the Bible say "The wisdom of God is but folly to man?"
