As we approach year's end, I thought it might be appropriate to discuss our favorite time travel movies. My pick: The Time Machine (the 1960 version, not the 2002 version)Special consideration also goes to:Back to the FutureTerminatorSpecial "worst of genre" goes to:Timeline
Back to the FutureTerminator
Fully agree with these two. Must add the first Planet of the Apes. A masterpiece!
Ah yes, that is the other one I forgot to mention. Good choice in POTA.
I like Star Trek Generations where Picard and Kirk meet in the Nexus (I know it doesn't quite fit the criteria here but I had to hijack this thread with Star Trek somehow). 🙂
I had to refresh my memory and I am still unable to say difinitively but “12 Monkeys” is my vote because it was directed by Terry Gulliam. This link includes film clips on the subject.http://www.toptenz.net/top-ten-time-travel-movies.php
12 Monkeys is kinda hard to follow for me. It was on last night though. 🙂
I have to go with Phid here and say the original “Time Machine”. The remake just doesnt do it justice.Honorable mention goes to:1. Time Bandits- Just Hilarious2. The Philadelphia Experiment- Good story3. Bill & Ted's Most Excellent Adventure- Another Hilarious one4. When Peggy Sue Got Married- Good Movie5. The Final Countdown- Wouldnt the Japanes have been surprised?
Ah, good catch with The Final Countdown. I had forgotten about that one.
I don't know how many of you watch Lost, but since they're traveling back in time now to 1974 it kind of qualifies as historical entertainment. ;D
