The UK National Archives is in the process of digitizing the Unit War Diaries of all UK and Commonwealth units from WWI that they have in their possession. For someone interested in WWI like me this is an exciting announcement. These documents have been available for decades if you could visit the archives but digitizing the will make them accessible to researchers who do not have the financial resources to travel. The British are notable in the last 10 years or so for going above and beyond in their efforts to digitize the holdings of their national archives to make them accessible to everyone. If only more countries would do the same.
