According to Plutarch, how long did it take to build the Parthenon and the other great buildings commissioned by Pericles?
I believe it was roughly 10 years, 447-438 B.C. Actually, that's not according to Pericles though. 🙁
According to other sources based on Plutarch(?), the Parthenon was built between 447 BC and 432 BC whilst others claim that its construction was completed in 438 BC, although decorations of the Parthenon continued until 431 BC.
And the winner is ? PS. "decorations of the Parthenon continued until 431 BC." something's wrong here ... 😉
