It was in Europes interest at the time to keep Bulgaria under Turkish rule and it was Western Europe's decision to cut its borders after Russia freed Bulgaria.Western Europe did similar things to HungaryI dont know if Western Europe has to thank Bulgaria for stopping the turkish, but I do know that Bulgaria definately suffered because of Western Europe politics over the last few centuries.
