Was Earl Warren quite possibly the worst SC Chief this country has ever had? I'm reading Ann Coulter's new book and there is a section about some of his rather “liberal” decisions concerning criminal rights.

Ann Coulter is a bit of a biased source don't you think? I am not saying Warren was a great SC Chief. But if I was going to judge a mans accomplishments or lack there of I would try to get a more unbiased look at him. That would be like going to Rush Limbaugh to get an unbiased opinion on Clinton, or going to Al Franken to get an unbiased opinion on George Bush. Your not going to get the whole truth, just a whole lot of spin. On the other hand you wouldn't want to go to Franken to talk about Clinton or Limbaugh to discuss Bush, same thing, a lot of spin. Good grief! The truth is hard to get at isn't it?
Stumpfoot, yes Coulter is a VERY biased soursce. But is she wrong? The Warren Court is what made abortion Constitutional is it not?
I agree on abortion. But I will admit I dont know much about the man. But when someone who has very strong views poilitically trashes someone on the oppistite side it just sends up red flags to me not to swallow everything they say without looking into it for myself .
Stumpfoot, I've been busy lately, but would you (and anyone else) be interested to see what he is being accused of and we good discuss and investigate it? It could be interesting IMHO. And don't take me wrong, I'm not defending Ann in any way. Personally, I do like her, but as you said, she is quite biased.
Yea, sounds good. It might make for an interesting thread.
