This is one of those “that's too bad” stories.
A relic hunter has been charged with stealing an intact Civil War shell that was embedded in a downtown brick building and was one of the last visible artifacts from the 10-month siege of the city.

Part of history, embedded into the building, is now lost because someone wanted it for his own? It's a shame. But according to the story the guy who did it was a friend of that other guy who was killed recently by that unexploded shell.
