    Very Interesting collection.  The LOC has something like 2,000 photos from the Civil War digitized on their website.  It is an amazing collection and good for several hours of wasted time for us history geeks.

    I noticed one of the photos…http://www.mikelynaugh.com/VirtualCivilWar/New/Originals2/pages/HangingCapHill.htmlI was trying to picture where exactly that is in relation to the Capitol.  If it's on the north side, it's near the view that you get when coming out of Union Station.
