Interesting slideshow although several pictures are miscaptioned. The one claiming it is french civilians sharing cognac with a tank crew is incorrect. That is not a tank, it is an M-8 Self-propelled artillery piece, nicknamed the Priest because of its pulpit like cupola. The cupola is where the GI is at in the photo.
