Just an FYI – to avoid copyright concerns, we can't really use copyrighted articles that are cut and pasted in whole or large part on this forum. You are allowed to copy and paste portions of articles for criticism or commentary, so try to limit this to a paragraph (maybe two) where you can. Also, please include a link to where you got it from.Where I see copyrighted postings, I'll try to chop them down to size and add a link to the original story...it's not that big of a deal but I want to avoid worrying about infringement. I also don't want anyone to get offended when I do this. Also, posting copyrighted images (e.g. photos) should normally be avoided. However, many historical photographs, paintings, etchings, U.S. government works and so forth are in the public domain. This following link is a guide on Bloggers' Intellectual Property Rights, but I think the advice can easily be adapted for our purposes. Enjoy. https://www.eff.org/bloggers/lg/faq-ip.php
Yeah I remember seeing your note about it. I don't think it's as big of a deal when the forum is not commercial, but the copyright holders could still try to force you to take down their articles. I think that your problem is largely caused by BH, isn't it?
Well I don't want to force the issue because so many have appreciated his posts so I let it go. He does give credit to the source and author so that is okay. World Net Daily is a free syndication so he's not really infringing anything otherwise I would have to say something.
I noticed an interview I posted with a Vietnamese general was turned into a link. I would have done the same thing but I have no idea how to link to something, Hey, I just mastered cut and paste!
I put in the copyright information for the castle picture and text. Text is copyright protected as well, but there is some fair use involved. There are loads of free images at Wikimedia Commons, although even there if you use some of them you have to include an attribution.
