ModeratorBeen hearing all these calls to boycott MSNBC, turn off your cable, etc. Instead of doing that, let's boycott these kind of Republicans instead.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2956767/postsSome of the replies are acceptable, but most agree with the OP. This is just wrong and idiotic and it's an embarrassment to me to be associated with them in the same party. Personally, I'm going to boycott Rove, Coulter, Hannity, Steyn, Rush, etc. not because they "gave" us Romney, but because they are not Republicans and certainly not Conservative. We need to stop listening to these clowns. I haven't for a few years now. I guarantee you they will either push Christie or Jeb Bush on us for 2016. If and only if they support Paul Ryan as a candidate, then maybe I'll listen to what they have to say again.

KeymasterI wonder if Florida is slower than the rest of the country because of what happened there in 2000. Perhaps they have a process in place which prevents that circus from happening again.Ski, why would you want to boycott those people you mentioned? Yes, I got a bad taste in my mouth from Ann Coulter after she threw her support behind Romney back in the Spring by being really critical of Newt Gingrich. But at the end of the day, she and those others are fighting the war as the rest of us. They (and Romney) are not to blame for this loss so much as the attitude of the average voter. The consolation out of all of this is that while the Democrats may have won this political battle, they will never be able to win the battle for truth with many of their policies. That in itself should be something to instill confidence and hope in all of us.

ModeratorBecause they have become almost as bad as the Left in telling us how and what to think. The difference between the Right and the Left is that the Right isn't as much about group-think. We're individuals. We can disagree on things and still be a Conservative Republican. (for instance, my pro-amnesty stance is Conservative IMO. It's about the law, tax revenue and accountability)

ParticipantThe country is lost to liberalism. They have won the war. After four more years of Obama, there won't be any country left to save.

ModeratorYup, and that's quite depressing. Stupid stupid people.

ParticipantImmigrants of my grandparents' generation had better critical thinking than college grads today. Anecdotes regarding Obama voters are depressing. They run the gamut from “Nice guy Obama and Romney doesn't care about people like me” to Romney has more money than I will ever earn and doesn't deserve it.” Eyes glaze when I bring up the economy and Benghazi. The left tape essentially is a mix of malicious envy and wishful thinking.

ModeratorThe Romney being rich thing. I don't get that. All these “educated”, VERY rich, Brown Univ lefties voted for Obama. Did they even think how much that is going to hurt this middle class blue collar Republican? Idiots. Perhaps I should go to Starbucks and ask all the Brown liberals for donations to heat my home this winter. I am so infuriated at these morons. I refuse to be civil to them. I'm going to be a sarcastic a$$ to every one of them I see or hear praising Obama. Maybe dear leader's imaginary green energy unicorns will crap directly in my furnace.

ParticipantI have lost all faith in the “average voter” after this election. People are no longer even voting their own self-interest, they are instead truly voting for bread and circuses.

ParticipantWhat do you think of Petraeus now Ski? CIA Director Petraeus Resigns, Cites Extramarital Affair Of course, I never liked the guy to begin with, I have had to work for him and I thought he was a weasel then, as I have said before.

ModeratorHe sucks. Good riddance to him and his “the holy koran.” He reminds me of a Neville Chamberlain. They should have just kept him in Iraq. COIN is a failure in Afghanistan. Where are all the Generals who have the guts to drop nuclear bombs? That's what we need.

ParticipantCOIN is a failure in general. It aint holding in Iraq either, at least not since we left in '08.

ParticipantI never bought into the COIN philosophy. We should have toppled Saddam and rebuilt the damage we did and bugged out. Nation building isn't our job, and it shouldn't be because we screw it up every time we try it.

ModeratorCOIN lost me when I kept reading Generals other leaders complaining that this strategy puts foreign civilian lives above our own Soldiers' lives.

Which is exactly what it does.

ParticipantIt's time to go isolationist and let the world rot. We've bankrupted ourselves trying to export our way of life and all it's gotten us is the hatred of the world. Call our service folks home now and call it a century or two.
