ParticipantI think the Repub Candidates will be Ryan, Rand Paul, and Alan WestDem- Some randome Senator is my guess at this point. I actually have no clue right now. Maybe Claire McCaskill or Elizabeth Warren? I can see the Dems trying to nominate a woman, they did elect the first black president, why not go for a twofer?

They would utterly destroy whatever RINO the GOP settles on.

KeymasterThe obvious choice for the Dem candidate is Hillary, and unfortunatley for the rest of us, she may be difficult to beat. She had a strong base in 2008, and they will continue to lead for her in 2016.

ParticipantHillary will be getting a little old for the presidency by then. I doubt she will even run. If so she will definitely be the front runner.

ParticipantCheck this out: Louisiana Secession Petition. It is on the White House petition page. Of course, it will be rejected out of hand but I think it demonstrates the level of discontent with Obama's reelection.

KeymasterHillary will by 69 years old in 2016. “Older” – yes, but well within the range of candidates who are generally put forward (McCain looked than that in 2008). She'll also be the only candidate who served as both Senator and Secretary of State, which gives her credentials. Honestly, though, the fact that she is an older female candidate may hurt her across the board, just as the fact that Obama is a younger, “handsome black man” undoubtedly helped him.

ParticipantI think Hillary would win the nomination easily, but she's going to be out of the limelight for the next four years. What does she have to do to keep her name fresh in people's minds? What kind of role will she play in politics until then? If she is going to run for president, she will do an exploratory committee in the next couple of years so we should know something by then. I hope she doesn't run myself. I don't think I could stand having that woman in the Oval Office because that means her cheating lying husband will be back there too and you know he will influence policy.

ParticipantInfluence? Bill would probably make policy.

KeymasterI got an email from a Politico reporter, saying he wants to ask me some questions about my site. I'm not sure if want to as I'd rather remain anonymous online.

Probably the Politburo, nothing to worry about ... 😉Why didn't he register ? He can be part of all the debates

ParticipantWhat is your site?
December 6, 2012 at 1:10 am #27758Phidippides
KeymasterIt's this site. I didn't actually get back to the guy as I didn't want to be interviewed and I wasn't sure I had much to say otherwise. I guess I just sat on my hands.

ParticipantI would have talked to him. If nothing else, you might have gotten some increased traffic out of the interview.
