Archaeologist sees proof for Bible in ancient wallThis is a good example of Archaeology supporting history. Of course, the archaeologists conclusions are disputed but if she shows here evidence it may well stand up and be one more step to proving the historicity of the Bible. Personally, I think it is largely true with perhaps some of the specifics being exagerrated or understated as the case may be. As far as I am aware, archaeology tends to back up the Bible more often than not.

I have a book on this subject somewhere. It's old, but I think it's still a very good source on Biblical accuracy in the historical record.
