You have likely heard of the wildfires approaching the ancient sites in Olympia, Greece, that have already killed many dozens of people. I had the opportunity to visit Olympia some years ago and so I am bummed that the place is now threatened with some destruction. It's a beautiful area of the Peloponnese, with rolling hills, trees, nice scenery. It was a place I pictured suited the Greeks well. I hope the fires are stopped soon and the people are safe.
