I got notified today that my first academic article has been accepted for publication. It is a peer-reviewed annotated bibliography about Frederick the Great. It will be published in the Spring of 2013 by Oxford University Press. It has been almost 9 months since I started working on it and the process was much different than I ever though it would be.I guess this means I can really consider myself a historian now. I am even credited as an independent scholar.Pretty cool huh? 8)
Congratulations! I would say that makes you a true historian now. But wait until you get the article cited, then you'll be a renowned historian.
Congrats! I'm sure it's a good feeling. I second what Ski said…it will be fun when you are cited by others.
Congratulations. May it be the first of many.
Well done!
Thanks all. I have another piece I am working on for submission to the Journal of Military History. I am also slowly editing and revising my MA thesis for submission to a publisher as a book. The eventual goal is to get filthy rich as a popular historian. We will see how that works out.
Would you agree to send me an autograph ? 😉Congratulations
