It's been windy here, and stayed in the mid-50s all day, so it's getting cold here. Might have to turn the heat on for the first time this year.
Other than the ocean flooding some of the state now because it's high tide, it looks like the brunt of it is over. Never lost power here but there were a lot of outages in the region. Southern RI, Newport got hit pretty bad. I didn't drive around to see if trees were down in my area.Who knows, there might be rowing tomorrow after all.
Thanks. This is the 2nd hurricane I came out unscathed. Feel bad for all the other people who suffered significant damage.
My uncle's basement was flooded and his car floated in the flood. They live on the same strip of land south of Brooklyn not far from Breezy Point where all those homes burned.
He is not injured, everyone there is fine. However, it will take some time to get everything fixed, as they will apparently need a new heater, electrical system (or parts), and so forth. I can imagine that it's got to be getting cold there at night, which doesn't help.
