The Kindle has external storage as well. Both on my PC's hard drive and in the Amazon Cloud.
I assume it can accept travel and jump drives for file transfers right?
I have the 4GB version, that is something like 1400 books. I don't see myself getting that many e-books for years and I certainly don't need all them with me at once.
