Just found two 1935 Hindenburg 5 Reichsmark coins today at a flea market for 3 Euro a piece. The guy did not know what he had, they are worth roughly $20-$25 each. I like flea markets. ;D
I'm sure you could find a lot of nice things at flea markets in Germany. Do they also have garage sales like they do in the U.S.?
They don't do Garage Sales over here. The Flea Mrakets do sometimes have some unnoticed gems though. I know a couple of guys that like to go to Flea Markets and buy militaria that they then sell over the internet to Americans and make a pretty good profit. There are usually quite a few WWII era militaria thins you can buy that you would not think would be worth anything but in actuality are. Nazi rank pips fetch a pretty good price in the States but you have to be careful of fakes.I got lucky with the coins because the seller was selling them at base metal value despite them being 90% silver, which he apparently did not know.
