This is an interesting article from England where a man who was given a golden cup by his grandfather in 1945 recently discovered that it was actually from Persia, possibly dating to the 4th century B.C.Childhood 'toy' revealed as ancient Persian relicHere's a bigger imageI did a quick search to find the meaning of the double-headed snake on the forehead of the face on the cup but couldn't find anything. At the end of the article the man talked about his grandfather's "good eye" when it came to antiques, but you have to wonder then why he would have given such an item to a child to play with!
