Answers about why June weddings are popular:http://ask.yahoo.com/20070420.htmlAmong the reasons were that listed included origins in Roman mythology, as well as it being near the time of year when Medieval people would traditionally take their yearly bathing.  I think nowadays it would have much more to do simply with weather, but I thought these answers were interesting nonetheless.
