'Smiling' woman 'stabbed MP twice in stomach after confronting him about Iraq war'I am kind of surprised we did not here about this in May when it first happened.  Or perhaps I should not be surprised I did not hear of it.  The story does kind of tend to reinforce the meme that Muslims are not to be trusted.  I thought the most relevant piece of the story was this:

The court heard that Choudhry from East Ham is not suffering from any mental illness.  At an earlier hearing, her lawyers entered a not guilty plea on her behalf after she refused to accept the authority of the court.  The trial continues.

What kind of court does she want, dare I say Sharia?

That is actually kind of scary as she has no remorse, and remains calm and collected.  I suppose that in a sense, England is reaping what it sows.  They have brushed aside such threats in the past in the spirit of political correctness, and it may take episodes like this for people to wake up.Incidentally, this makes me think of the Jon Stewart “Rally for Sanity” over the weekend.  I watched much of it and admit it was hilarious at parts (especially the song with Stewart and Colbert).  But what struck me was that I heard him criticize people for being “excessive” or “irrational”, such as those who think that all Muslims are terrorists.  I agree that not all Muslims are terrorists, but why didn't he also criticize Muslims who riot when a cartoon is published, or when they hear a few comments made by a figure that they disagree with?  Or why did he not criticize the seeming lack of condemnation for terrorism within Muslim communities?  It seems to me that that should have been a prime example of intolerance that Stewart could have gone after, but instead he chose to mainly target cable news channels.

Because Muslims and their beliefs are beyond reproach in the eyes of progressives.  Progressives really do believe that the west is responsible for people like bin Laden and if the west just understood or cared more there would be no terrorism.  Reinforcing their beliefs they refuse to allow reality to intrude.I am waiting to hear the condemnation of Britain from the Muslim world when this woman is convicted and imprisoned.
