But war has also driven the train on economics plenty of time as well as nations going to war for purely economic/resource reasons. I am not saying that war exists in a vacuum but that war is so wrapped up with every other human undertaking that it is almost impossible to study anything historically without taking into account the effects of war. That is the origin behind my statement that history is war, war has shaped or influenced just about everything I can think of.
