Here is a really cool site that has interactive models of Rome, the Acropolis, Babylon, and Versailles. I was randomly looking for websites about the Roman forum and found this.
That is a pretty neat model of Rome. I don't think they're really “interactive” but they are still quite interesting. I had been looking for a model a while back, I think the Fall semester, while taking a class on ancient Rome. I'm currently doing research for my qualifying paper on a 17th century aspect of Rome which is based on the ancient city, so the model may still come in handy. As long as it's accurate. 😉
There are several sites I have found that offer pretty good models of Rome. I am on a Rome kick right now so i am doing random research at work when I have the time. Some of the sites are;digital model of the Roman Forum, THE ROMAN FORUM OF 179 AD, and Museo della Civilt? Romana. Those are pretty decent sites. The museum page has many pictures of a Model commisioned by Mussolini(I think ???).
