KeymasterI just finished the first draft/reading of my qualifying paper for my Masters thesis. I've been working on it pretty regularly in the last two weeks especially and these last two days I've pretty much been holed up near by computer all day. Now my apt looks like a mess with books spread around…and I missed a nice sunny day outside. Alas, such is the life of an academic, I guess.

ParticipantI dont know whether to envy you or pity you. You are well on the way to being finished and I have yet to start. The closer I get to actually writing my thesis, the more daunting the task begins to look.Congratulations!

KeymasterThanks! I will definitely need to address some issues in the paper in better detail for the second reading. At least for me, that should be easier; it's the initial process of putting ideas onto paper which is the hardest part.

ParticipantI'm on a mission to get my properties unloaded, finish my MA at Louisville, and then move out of Kentucky to the state where I will attend school for my Phd. This will take some time, but I vow to do it, and I always fulfill my vows.

KeymasterThis afternoon I successfully got through with my oral review of my Masters thesis. Now it's on to my second draft, incorporating the points addressed by my committee. I am thankful for having gotten through this and hopefully I will be able to tie my thesis together in a nicer package with my future revisions.

KeymasterWell, I just turned in my bound copies of my thesis to the graduate office. It cost me $217 to get my required four copies assembled, and I didn't even get a copy for myself. So anyway, my Masters is now done with. 🙂
