(along with a bunch of Brett Favre football cards...I went crazy last week :o) I really want this guy to go to the Superbowl. (I know, a Pats fan shouldn't say that, and I want the Pats to win..but if anyone beats them I hope it's Favre). I think a Superbowl history thread would be appropriate at this time. (or maybe not, I'm just really obsessed with football this year)
Wow. As a fan of the Packers' main rival I can say that even we respect him for his longetivity and productivity throughout the years. I can't but help think that image on the page you linked to is not actually Brett Favre (I've seen him on TV enough to notice the difference). At first I thought you were duped if you bought a poster of him, but now I see it's an action figure. I hope the Packers don't get knocked out of the playoffs their first game for your sake, but I'm not sure they've got the team to take them all the way. But in the playoffs anything can happen, of course.
Seattle makes me nervous. But I think Favre's hungry. We shall see. I admire him a lot. Yeah, he's rich and all, but he donates a lot, and he's had some rough spots in his life and pulled through. (same hip injury as Bo Jackson, absolutely horrible in his rookie years, some family problems..I guess his brother and sister spent some time in prison). But he overcame the obstacles and has become one the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. The Dallas game after his father died was moving, to say the least, and ever since then I've been a bigger fan.
