Here is an interesting article on the origin of the term Luddite. Are you a Luddite? I always thought it came from a real person but apparently the term comes from a fictional character.
I thought the person was real as well. It had been a while since I learned about the origin, and I did not recall that they were more like union protesters than anti-tech people. Nowadays, I think the correct context for the word “Luddite” is someone who is against new technology. The article, however, suggests that the word is being used now to describe people who are against change.
