The village of Valle Piola in central Italy is for sale for ?550,000. It is in pretty sad shape but apparently somebody else also bought a village in Italy and turned it into a luxury resort. It is in the mountains so i suppose it is possible that it could be turned into a ski destination as well.
Would that not be awesome or what? That sounds like a dream of mine I had in college (which also required me winning the lottery and moving to Europe somewhere along the way). What if some Hollywood producer buys it so it can be the set of some movie? That could either be very good for its preservation, or be very bad if it is harmed in the process and then forgotten about once again.
