This follows up on the last privy thread:130-Year-Old Outhouses Yield TreasuresThis time it's a privy in Ventura, California. Neat stuff they're finding:
They uncovered a pistol, a knife, whisky flasks, a set of false teeth, two dog skulls and a blade from a set of sheep shears.
And I found it strange yet interesting when I read in the article that it still stinks down there as they're digging. I would have thought that the waste would have decomposed and blended in with the surrounding earth and materials to clear out the smell and bacteria.
