KeymasterSomeone found that Obama has put his “accomplishments” into the official Whitehouse web site biographies of the presidents, going back to Coolidge (1923-29). Is this in bad taste? This one certainly seems rather tenuous:"In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule." Obama Drops His Name Into the Other Presidential Biographies

ParticipantObama seems to be going out of his way to shape the way his “official legacy” will be discussed. If I didn't think I knew better I wou;s swear that he or someone on his staff was a very gifted student of Josef Goebbels.

KeymasterLooks like the White House realized it “overstepped” by inserting Obama so directly into history, and made some changes to the White House site.http://reason.com/blog/2012/06/14/white-house-quietly-removes-obama-boasts

ParticipantAgreed. This was kind of borderline and pretentious at least.
