I suppose “old” is a relative term; this footprint found in Egypt is possibly two million years old…or older!
Khaled Saad, the director of prehistory at the council, said that based on the age of the rock where the footprint was found, it could date back even further than the renowned 3-million year-old fossil Lucy, the partial skeleton of an ape-man, found in Ethiopia in 1974.
Ancient human footprint foundGranted, I'm not sure how well we can trust the person(s) saying these things, but it is interesting. I don't even know how you'd identify it as a human print if it's that old.
