The Shutberg is a hill made from the bulldozed ruins of downtown Schweinfurt after the war. Shutberg translates into English as Rubble Hill. The destruction was so intense that they bulldozed everything into a hill and covered it with dirt.The is an excellent website with then and now pictures of Germany at Third Reich in Ruins.Below is a picture of downtown Dresden after the Fire-Bombing. I was there a few months ago and aside from scorch marks on many of the buildings, Dresden has been fully restored.
