Has there ever been a war where everything, every mission, went exactly according to plan?? I don't mean the end result, I'm talking about during the wars itself.I know it's kind of a stupid question, and my guess is NO. But you'd think otherwise when you hear some speak of Iraq, Afghanistan, or the War on Terror in general.
The Arab-Israeli Six day war of 1967 perhaps. Also; The Bishops' War 1639-1640 went pretty much in the Scots favour.
I don't know everything there is to know about every war fought, but knowing history to some extent and the nature of man (and Murphys law) I would say the answer is no. And as far as the 'war on terror' anyone who says that is going according to plan ought to be commited.
The Six-Day War is probably the only one I know of other than the sack of Jericho by the Children of Israel………but they had help though. 😉

I am not to familiar with the six-day war, I will have to look that one up. Jericho however, Your right on with that one. But their "General' Will not be thwarted by anyone, especially man.

Amen to that!
How about Alexander's invasion of the Persian Empire? He basically went from one success to another and destroyed the largest empire the world had seen to that time. All this with only the forces of Greece and in just ten years.
