    I saw this article about how Sarkozy is going to give some award to a D-Day hero when he visits the U.S.:French leader to present Legion of Honor to Mainer, a World War II heroSo far I've been pleased with Sarkozy and think he's trying to rebuild U.S.-French relations.

    The French were pretty vocal about Iran here lately too.  Another sign that Paris wants to stay on our team.

    I am not sure that having France for an ally is an asset.  For the last 100 years they have been more of a liability
