Heres one.Does any one know what the relative artillery strengths between the allies and Germans was at First Ypres? I remember reading somewhere that the germans outgunned the allies something on the order of 10 to 1, I think that's from Keegan. I need to find the exact numbers though and I can't find them anywhere. If anyone could help point me to a reference it would be greatly appreciated.
According to the source below, it says the Germans were outgunned with artillery 3 to 1.J. B. A. Bailey, Field Artillery and Firepower [book on-line] (Oxford: Military Press, 1989, accessed 9 April 2008), 57; available from Questia, http://www.questia.com/PM.qst?a=o&d=109411273; Internet.I don't know if you have a Questia account, but it's a good tool to have. And you can give use me as a referrer. ;D
Thanks,I will have to check that site out. I have not used Questia before. 8)
