Here is an interesting story I stumbled across. Roman gladiator cemetery found in England I knew that Gladiatorial shows toured the Empire but I have not heard about this. The story says the skeletons cover a period of about 3 centuries so I suppose it is possible that this is really a gladiator cemetery. Interesting find to say the least. Apparently they found quite a few burial goods with the skeletons as well, I am sure that helped them with dating and identification.
Yeah, that's interesting. I can imagine that a bite mark, like they found on at least one skeleton, war probably lethal. If it went that far into the bone, it would be hard to clean such a wound.
