I saw this advertised in Google ads today:http://www.jeffsgrantsblog.com/Look at the name on the check. I noticed that it appears slightly smudged and the wording is a bit too linear compared to the letters in the code and information just above, which curve along with the curvature of the paper itself. A little odd, eh? I can't say for sure whether that site is a fraud, but I do know one thing: the more free money you have going around, the more scam artists will rise up and try to capitalize. It's amazing how bold people get to capitalize on such free-for-alls.
It definitely looks like a scam. I wonder how many people will get bilked out of money before this guy gets arrested or just closes up shop. I guess it depends on how greedy he gets.
I moved this to the announcements section so that any other person who stumbles across this may learn about this (call it a general “public service announcement”). I saw the original ad on Google Ads, and today it was on the weather page for Yahoo. In the site I linked to on February 13th, the site shows a picture of a guy saying "My name is Jeff Donahue, and I started this blog because...". But wait! His twin "Jim Donahue" must have coincidentally opened up a site here: http://www.jimgotmoney.com/ ....but their triplet, named David, also opened up a site advertising the same thing (at http://www.davidgetsgreen.com/). Then again, maybe it's ther quadruplet Christopher Donahue (http://grants.christopherscash.com/)....or their stunt double, Kevin Hoeffer (http://www.kevin-gets-grants.com/).On the other hand, the Donahue brothers have an uncanny knack for producing web sites just like "Jason Dodd" (http://jasongetsgrants.com/), "Jake Miller" (http://www.govgrantfunds.com/), and who knows how many others...Bottom line, folks, is that this scam game is being advertised on major sites and I'm surprised Google and Yahoo have been advertising them. How long before the feds shut this fraud down?
