Every school in America should have a history teacher like this guy. You are right that the reaction from the girl shows that her teacher got her to really understand why history is important.
I am surprised in our day and age that the school let the teacher do this. You know, with the handling of guns (even props), the dressing up in Confederate uniforms, fake bloody wounds – I would think this would be too politically incorrect for a school to allow. Makes me think that after watching the piece, some administrator somewhere is making calls or filing reports to try to get it stopped.
It is in NC, not a notoriously liberal state.
