Has anyone ever heard of the GLF or Gnome Liberation Front? I was reminded of this last night when one of our neighbors told us that several of her gnomes were missing. I first heard of them several years ago when they were founded in Paris and would steal peoples gnomes and free them in the forests around Paris in the “natural” home. I laughingly told my neighbor to check the woods near our house because maybe the GLF took them. The GLF even has a website and wikipedia entry” Free the Gnomes, Garden Gnome Liberationists, 'Itchy feet' gnome returns homeFigured this would be good for a laugh given all the serious talk in the Senate Chambers lately.
I vaguely remember hearing about this a while back. I hope your neighbor is able to find them and that it was just a prank. I recently had the caps on my tire valves stolen off my car…it's such a petty thing to take I hope it was a kid rather than a real thief. But it is still kind of annoying.Anyway, when you talk to your neighbors are you talking in English or German?
;D This kind of stuff is hilarious. I wonder what those who take them and do these things are thinking. A while back, in the next town over, someone stole a pair of those pink plastic flamingo things from someone's front yard and would send the owners pictures of the flamingos on vacation throughout the country. I don't know if they ever came back like these gnomes did though.

Yeah, that's the kind of stuff fellow classmates of mine would do at schools I have attended...they'd take a portrait of someone on the school's board of governors or take a school "mascot" and take photos of them in Vegas, Chicago, or wherever.
