I watched the miniseries on the Kennedy's a few weeks ago and found it better than I expected. It centered mostly on the lives of Jack, Robert, and their parents from about the mid-1940s until the assassination. Greg Kinnear did a good job as JFK, I thought, as did Barry Pepper as RFK. The thing that struck me while watching it was the involvement of the father in his sons' political affairs. There were high hopes for the eldest Kennedy son who died in WWII, and these hopes were then by default transferred upon Jack. I do wonder, though, whether Joe Sr. was quite so involved in Jack's presidential campaign, especially at the beginning. Jack came across as somewhat sheepish even on election night. Anyone else see the series?
