When you consider the contribution of the Normans to the Anglo-Saxon culture, it's quite amazing that they are still looked as the “bad guys” in many history books while all other invaders, like the Angles, the Saxons, The Danish, the Viking are almost praised !Why?Is it about their language ? Who writes the histories we usually read? He who writes the book gets to make the call, eh?
What are some examples of them being viewed as bad guys? Isn't this negative view the result of Scottish, Irish, et.al. nationalism?
