Does the FLOTUS even consider produce prices when she pontificates about eating better?  Eating healthy is expensive, price of veg. and fruit is quite high. I don't possibly see how people on low income can afford to eat fresh produce, meats, and fish on a regular basis.

All the more reason to increase cash subsidies to low income people.  I'm not sure that it's a problem for them if they can't afford it, because it really would give them all the more reason to argue for increased expenditures/tax increases over time.I'm all for people eating healthy, but not so much that I think the government needs to step in to regulate this.  Personal responsibility is being thrown out the door in favor of bureaucratic bloat and government overreach.

Might be time to re-institute the old “Victory Gardens” — “Recession Gardens” anyone?  That doesn't quite sound right – not catchy.  Let's see, maybe we could take a cue from the VPOTUS and dub them “BFD Gardens”!
