    I’m wondering if anyone else has read The Rule of Four, which came out a few years ago. It’s an interesting story involving an historical mystery in line with The Davinci Code. The book describes some Princeton students who try to solve an elaborate code from a book (Hypnerotomachia Poliphili) which was written in Renaissance Italy. The students spar with friendship, love, and enemies while they try to finish the task.

    I don't know much about the real Hypnerotomachia Poliphili, but I'm wondering if there's any truth to there being a mystery behind it. Anyone else read it?

    Sounds similar to Focault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco.

    I've never read that book by Umberto Eco.  I've only seen the movie, “The Name of the Rose”, which was interesting in plot, even if it was somewhat “Hollywood”.
