I noticed that the “Today in history” blurb (located in the page footer in this forum) includes the following event for December 7:
Radio personality Howard Stern talks a man out of attempting suicide
Good? Yes, of course. But part of the annals of history? If history is written by the victors, how did the people in charge today ever win?
I’ll be glad when Howard Stern is History. 😉 ❗
Yeah, it amazes me that the man has grown a fan base around a “dick and fart joke” format. Really says something about the ignorance of the general public nowadays.
Love him or hate him, I love what he did for my SIRI (Sirius Satellite) stock 😛
What was his contract for…$100 over 5 years? Something like that. I saw him interviewed by Bill O’Reilly a few days ago where he said Sirius’ subscription base went from something like 800,000 to 3,000,000 after he signed on (those numbers might be a bit off).
Howard Stern can probably be credited with shaping some of the more recent years of Western Civilization!
The guy is actually somewhat intelligent. It’s a shame he wastes his intelligence on silly junk. But he knows where the money is, and he can’t go head to head with Limbaugh……..he’d be destroyed in the ratings.
