The origin of the famous quote”[url url=http://]we had to destroy the village in order to save it[/url].” We started talking about this quote and where it came from so I figured I would put my hasty research out there and see if any of you guys have heard a different story than the one I found. The above link is about as close as I came outside of wikipedia to finding a good attribution.The story I originally heard was that the quote was made in a TV interview with (NBC I think), but I have not been able to verify that or find any video of it. I would assume with the nature of the internet that if anyone had video of it, it would be up so that curious people like me could watch it.
