I'm not really familiar with Caravaggio work but I'm fond of Georges de la Tour, whose paintings are known to reflect the Baroque naturalism of Caravaggio

My favorite is Portrait of Fra Antionio Martelli mainly because I think it is very lifelike and the look of deterrmination on the monk's face reflects what I think a member of a military order would look like in real life. I would love to break bread with the monk and share war-stories.
